Claudia Chan

chinese-canadian, cologne-based contemporary classical pianist

New 'commented concerts' series at Royaumont starting in 2018

As part of her ongoing artistic residency at Royaumont, Claudia will be starting a series of concerts, each based a major work of contemporary music for solo piano. An informal performance, talk, and discussion about each of the presented pieces in the beautiful surrounds of the Abbey offer a chance to look deeper into some of the seemingly impenetrable and complicated works of the repertoire. Dates for the first of the year are February 11, April 15 and June 3. Keep an eye on the concerts page for more specifics!

Debut at Hitzacker Tage

Claudia makes her debut as soloist and guest artist at the Hitzacker Tage on August 1st, 2017, with the Neue Ensemble Hannover, under the direction of Stephan Meier, in a programme dedicated to the works of Rebecca Saunders.
